Spring has sprung… and everything is growing! (including my spring client wardrobe!)

If you’re wondering what to wear for your next family session… look no further! (I got you covered mama’s!)

Hey friends! What were you doing last year at this time? I was nestled deep in the woods thoroughly enjoying a backcountry camping weekend with my family - IN MARCH!!! I know it may not look like it so much this year, but I promise - spring really is on it’s way! I know this because the critters are out and about, my cats are waking me up 5 times a night to go mousing, and I saw my first ROBIN just this past weekend! As Ian Tyson would say: “We’ve made it through another on the Northern range”.

One more way that I know Spring is nigh is because last weekend, my spring/summer client wardrobe started to trickle in! I am so excited for this years collection! If you didn’t already know, a big part of my work includes cutting out any of the major stressors that can arise for clients when booking their photoshoot. It is important to me to make my clients feel like the process is a stress free and enjoyable experience! I do this by including things like snacks to tie over hangry kiddos and spouses, Netflix for siblings who are ‘done’ with their photo experience, offering upgrades like hair and makeup, and of course - a pile of wardrobe options for mamas and kiddos…. and even a few options for dads! Et voila! The result is happy, beautiful, well dressed clients and more importantly - images that capture you and your family creating memories that will last a lifetime!

This year I decided to put together a few style guides using my spring/summer collection of gorgeous gowns! I firmly believe that when planning wardrobe for family photo sessions, the most important wardrobe decision is what mom will wear. Let’s be honest - we as women are hard on ourselves and if we love the way an outfit makes us feel, we’ll be able to look at our family photos and love them too…. and that’s kind of a big deal! After that, it becomes easy to coordinate and plan outfits for the rest of the family! So without further ado - here are this years style guides! I’ve attached links for all of the stores/shops I LOVE and where you can find the items shown in each mood board. ALL of the gowns shown here are from Baltic Born and my studio carries a medium (with many being ‘bump friendly’ to boot)!
